Meltech Confex Continuous Rotary Extrusion Line Feed Rod Pay Off System

The feed rod pay off system takes the feed rod from industry standard coils of aluminium or copper rod. The rod is de-coiled before passing through a rod straightening unit to remove any kinks which transfers it at the correct position and angle to the next process - either rod cleaning system or directly to the extruder.

Meltech-Confex is able to supply either single or twin rod pay off systems - there are two main types of pay off designed to either :

Pull the rod from the centre of a static coil positioned either vertically or horizontally on the floor
Pulling from the outside of the coil when loaded on a rotating pay off.
Sensors within the system detect any snags in the coil.

There are alternative systems that can be supplied for specialist applications such as granular feed.
